10 Reasons to Attend the 2024 MLQ Championship

Quadball is a competitive, full-contact sport played by athletes around the world. Major League Quadball has set out to create a high-intensity environment for the best athletes in North America to hone their skills and compete for one of our sport's highest honors: the Benepe Cup. Below are 10 reasons YOU should join us at our continental championship, hosted in partnership with Visit Howard County.

  1. Watch the best of the best in an up-and-coming sport.

MLQ athletes are the top quadball players from around the country (and Canada!), representing 12 franchises in a fun and competitive mixed-gender, full-contact sport. Learn more about the sport, then grab your tickets to the 2024 MLQ Championship in Howard County, Md.

  2. History is just waiting to be made.

Only two teams (Boston Forge and Austin Outlaws) have ever won an MLQ Championship, but the New York Titans and Chicago Prowl are also entering the tournaments as heavy favorites this year, meaning we could have a new champ! It will all go down Sunday on Pitch One by Diaza — fittingly, the Champions Brand is sponsoring the field where a champion will be crowned.

  3. Quadball won’t be the only competition during the weekend.

Drop by MLQ’s breakout space, sponsored by Breakmark, and play fun games like cornhole, Kan Jam, spikeball, and more. After you get a good workout in, you can also enter to win one of these game sets! Score.

  4. Get some sweet new merch.

Don’t miss your chance to grab one of our “Hot Girls Play Quadball” hats or “Queer Quadball Icon” stickers. There will also be freebies and merch giveaways all weekend!

  5. There’ll be shots on and off the field!

If you’re in need of some air-conditioning and refreshing drinks, Soluna Cocina + Tequila Bar is just a short walk away from Troy Park and will be airing the games all weekend. And if you’re looking to stay on site, vendors will be ready with BBQ, shaved ice, crepes, and more.

  6. Take Back the Pitch is must-see quadball.

This annual fantasy tournament for women and non-binary players is worth sticking around Pitch One by Diaza on Monday. The unique format allows often-overlooked athletes to get leadership opportunities, develop new skills, and shine on a big stage.

  7. Watch the next generation of quadball superstars.

MLQ’s Next Gen Showcase will pit practice squad players from Chicago, Boston, D.C., Charlotte, Toronto, Minneapolis, Austin, and New York against each other on Sunday. Come watch these rising stars battle for glory as they show off what they’ve learned so far this summer and continue to develop their quadball skills.

  8. Live T Time podcasts will be dishing all the tea.

Fans of the popular MLQ podcast T Time will be treated to a live podcast on Friday night at Soluna Cocina + Tequila Bar, and hosts Teddy Costa and Tyler Trudeau will be around all weekend conducting interviews and sharing all the latest MLQ Championship storylines.

  9. There’s something for the kids.

Want to introduce your little one to a fun new sport? Snag one of our kid’s pass tickets and get a meet-and-greet or autograph from one of MLQ’s athletes.

  10. It’s just a regular ole’ good time.

From exciting win-or-go-home matchups to unbelievable goals and fun for the whole family, MLQ Championship never disappoints. Whether you’ve never seen quadball in your life or are a seasoned spectator, this year’s tournament has something for everyone. Come check it out on Aug. 17-19 in Howard County, Md. Tickets available here or at the door.
